So I recently I have been invited by Two Guys, Tea, and D&D, to take part in a mini campaign that will be using an old Grey Hawk Module called Death’s Ride (by Garry Spiegel) but converted into D&D 5th Edition. Instead of playing in the Grey Hawk world, our DM will be placing this into the Forgotten Realms on the Sword Coast. Here is the synopsis so far of what is to come:
“The cloud is there, its nature and cause unknown. None have returned from the Barony of Twolakes Vale for weeks. Furthermore, the cloud is spreading and vague reports of unrest and mysterious disappearances are spreading. All communication with the Barony has ceased. King Ericall, worried about the security of his border and angered at the loss of tax revenues, has commissioned you, a delegation of powerful heroes to investigate.”
In our Group’s Session Zero, we all chose our character’s race/class, started talking about starting level (Level 8), Point Buy/Standard Array, and hashing out some of the other good background stuff. Because a good friend of mine, Mr. Derek Elliott, recently gave me Volo’s Guide to Monsters as a birthday gift, I thought that it would be fitting to try out a character from that for something completely different.
So I give you all my character below:
Level 8 Ranger (Hunter Archetype)
Timbers is an ambassador from Maztica, a far land West of the Sword Coast. He has been summoned by his clan leader of the Bright Cliffs Clan and sent to the Sword Coast as a gesture of good will between the two kingdoms. The Tabaxi are looking to make good on trade negotiations. On this trade route is a dark cloud that seems to be causing disappearances. Some were Tabaxi traders. Timbers is a great tracker and has been ordered from his land to get to the bottom of the incident and make sure the trading between the two nations continues unhindered.
Feel free to Download my Character Sheet of him and scale him as needed for your games.
These sessions will begin in the next few weeks and will be recorded by Two Guys, Tea, and D&D. When they are up and running, I will post them on my blog here for everyone’s enjoyment.
